Ron Weasely and his Big Day

“George, you do know that these weird spells won’t work, right?” asked Hermione. George told Hermione to keep quiet and watch his magical prowess. “How much longer do I have to stand upside-down? I’m getting sick already!” said Ron. “Little brother, have patience. Keep calm and keep standing upside-down,” replied George. After several years, Ron was about to return to the Auror Office. In preparation, Ron asked George and Hermione to use some spells to make him look taller and bulkier. Hermione helped Ron out by using replacement spells to make him look well-built and fit. George used his own spells to make Ron taller, and slowly but surely, Ron started to gain height. When Hugo saw his dad look so tall, he said, “Boy, dad, you sure grow quickly!” After about an hour of getting dressed, Ron was finally ready to head to the Auror Office. Ron and Hermione left together for the Ministry of Magic. “We really do need to hire a caretaker for the kids, Ron,” said Hermione. “I’ll look into it, Hermione. Don’t you worry,” replied Ron. A few minutes later, they both reached the Ministry of Magic and the two went their different ways; Hermione to her cabin and Ron to the Auror Office. In the elevator, Ron met Harry and they started to talk about the old days. Harry was the Head of the Auror Office. They both got off the elevator and when they reached Ron’s old cabin, Ron handed his application over to him. “What’s this?” asked Harry. “My CV. I want to start over as an Auror once more, Harry,” replied Ron. With a smile on his face, Harry said, “Prepare for your test, Ron. I’ll be free at about four, so I’ll take your official test at that time. For now, consider your unofficial test to be to control Albus.” “He’s here?” groaned Ron. “Chill, dude. As long as you don’t do anything, he won’t annoy you,” said Harry. Accepting the challenge, Ron went into Harry’s cabin, and freaked out, as he couldn’t see Albus anywhere. All he could find was a note that read, ‘Catch me if you can!’ Ron figured Albus was hiding somewhere on this floor, so he started looking. Ron searched the entirety of the Auror Department sans Harry’s cabin and a few very old ones thoroughly. He asked various people if they had seen Albus. All the answers he received were contradictory. Ron then searched the Investigation Department thoroughly. He even took his chance and searched for Albus in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. After all this time, he couldn’t find Albus. Accepting defeat, Ron went back to his old cabin, which was being cleaned, to inform Harry that Albus was missing. With two minutes left to four, he entered the room. “SURPRISE!” shouted the entire room. Harry, Hermione, Albus, George and several others congratulated him for his birthday. He had completely forgotten that today was his birthday! Harry approached him and said, “How do you like your new cabin Ron? You passed the test. You found Albus before four. You have the job!” With tears in his eyes, Ron realized, at that very moment that today was his big day.
