Holy. Mother. of. Thrillers!!!

This is one book that I've read in quite some time that has so many unexpected twists and turns.... that I'm 💯 percent sure, no one.... not one single soul could have foreseen what the story really entails.

Amber is at the cross roads of her life.... she is in a job that she hates but needs. In her own words, 'to many, I'm living my dream job, but nightmares are dreams too!'. She feels her relationship has come to a standstill, where she and her husband are just tolerating each other and there is no love anymore. She doesn't have too many friends, just one colleague Jo.... and is not close to her family (in fact, she seems to be estranged from her parents and has a weird, imbalanced relationship with her sister!).

Just right before Christmas, she is informed by her Manager that she might be fired as a senior colleague refuses to work with her. While she and Jo are trying to turn things around in her favor, she meets with an accident.....that renders her immobile, unmoving....stuck in limbo....in a coma.

While there are hints and insinuations that her husband might have something to do with her accident (the police go as far as to arrest and detail him)....the story takes a sudden turn!

And then, there are twists and turns....enough to make your reading mind amazed at the smart and cunning way the author doesn't give away the secrets....not till the very end....and each secret is as shocking as the other.

Sometimes I lie...is one book that you NEED to go in unprepared and unaware of what will happen. IMO it's a thrilling thriller and even the ending is a cliffhanger.....and just might be the sign that a sequel is on the way!

A must read if you're a fan of thrillers and shocking surprises as you read on!
